To enforce on-street and off-street parking restrictions in accordance with legislation and council policies. The goal is to improve compliance, reduce congestion, and enhance safety by issuing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) in a professional and courteous manner.
Patrol designated areas to identify parking violations.
Issue PCNs in line with legal and procedural standards.
Maintain detailed and accurate records using handheld devices and body-worn cameras.
Report issues such as damaged signs, abandoned vehicles, or enforcement obstacles.
Provide witness statements or attend hearings when needed.
Deliver excellent customer service and handle public inquiries tactfully.
Maintain equipment and uniform to required standards.
Collaborate with other teams and law enforcement when required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in parking enforcement.
Strong understanding of parking legislation and enforcement protocols.
Able to communicate effectively in challenging situations.
Familiarity with health and safety practices in lone working environments.
Experience with handheld ticketing devices and enforcement software.
Shift-based role including early mornings, evenings, weekends.
Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work alone or in a team.
Full driving license and/or CBT certificate preferred.
Basic DBS clearance required.
