Role Overview

The Appraisal Assistant plays a key role in supporting Snapsheet’s virtual auto claims process. They review, analyze, and organize vehicle damage information to ensure accurate and efficient claim handling. Working closely with appraisers and claims specialists in the U.S., the Appraisal Assistant helps maintain high-quality standards and quick turnaround times for each case.


Main Responsibilities

  • Review photos and reports of damaged vehicles submitted by insurance claimants or field inspectors.

  • Compare and verify data in Snapsheet’s systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Identify missing information or discrepancies and communicate findings clearly.

  • Assist appraisers by preparing estimates or documentation for final review.

  • Manage and prioritize daily workloads to meet performance goals (e.g., average of 10 cases per day).

  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company and client data policies.

  • Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to continuously improve quality and efficiency.


Skills and Qualifications

  • English proficiency: Advanced written and spoken communication.

  • Analytical mindset: Ability to interpret data, photos, and reports accurately.

  • Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality control.

  • Time management: Capable of meeting daily targets in a fast-paced, remote environment.

  • Technical proficiency: Comfortable using cloud-based systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools.

  • Team orientation: Cooperative and adaptable to feedback and process updates.


Preferred Background

  • Experience in insurance, automotive, or data review roles (not mandatory).

  • Basic understanding of vehicle parts and repair processes is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Number of cases completed per day.

  • Accuracy rate and quality review scores.

  • Responsiveness to feedback and adherence to Snapsheet procedures.
