Position Summary

We’re looking for charismatic, fast-paced, and hospitality-driven Bartenders to join the ANIMAL team. Our bartenders are not just drink slingers — they’re performers, hosts, and culture-setters who thrive in a packed room and know how to keep the energy high while delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and accurately

• Deliver warm, affirming, and inclusive customer service to all guests

• Engage with guests to create a fun, welcoming, and memorable bar experience

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including stocking, prep, and breakdown

• Handle cash, POS transactions, and tabs responsibly

• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with all NYC and NYS liquor laws

• Collaborate with barbacks, security, DJs, and management to keep the night running smoothly

• Represent the ANIMAL brand with confidence, professionalism, and personality

What We’re Looking For

• Previous bartending experience required (high-volume nightlife preferred)

• Comfort working in loud, crowded, fast-paced environments

• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and willingness to learn house specialties

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A positive attitude and ability to stay cool under pressure

• Passion for LGBTQ+ nightlife, culture, and community

• Must be 21+ and eligible to work in NYC
