HCR Personnel- IT Programmer (80-100K)

IT Programmer

We are currently working with a top manufacturing company in Vaughan who needs to hire a Programmer. This role will focus on designing, coding, testing, and debugging systems software across business, scientific, and engineering applications. The successful candidate will also administer SQL servers and databases, implement program solutions, and document procedures for completed applications.

 Please note that this is an on-site position within a manufacturing environment.

 Work Setting: On-site

 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement applications based on customer requirements.

• Maintain overall responsibility for Kepware and SQL servers along with related applications.

• Ensure the integrity of production and shipping schedules within ERP systems and related software.

• Document application procedures, including communication, release verification, and updates.

• Provide on-call and on-site support for personnel during non-standard business hours as required.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Perform all job functions in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.

• Work in alignment with IATF 16949 quality management standards and ISO 14001.

 • Maintain 5S standards within the working environment.

 Must Have Qualifications:

 • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent training.

 • Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Inventory Control, and Automation.

 • Minimum 5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.

 • Experience with MS?SQL queries, stored procedures, and database design.

 • Experience with SQL Server version/patch updates, performance tuning, monitoring, backup, and recovery.

 • Experience with IIS Web Services and networking.

 • Strong knowledge of Visual Basic, C#, .NET, Windows Forms, Web Forms, MS Access, JavaScript, Power BI, and Power Apps.

 • Computer literacy in business applications and ERP systems.

 • Excellent organizational, planning, and English communication skills.

 • Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

 Desirable Additional Qualifications (Optional):

 • Experience with Solidat MES.

 • Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens), Kepware OPC Client/Server.

 • Experience with Intermec label printers and Zebra scanners.

 • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, QAD, or Trans4m.

 • Automotive manufacturing experience.
