ACCOUNTANT

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Obada, Abeokuta

Experience: 2–5 years

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable and general ledger entries.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and deadlines.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights for financial planning and decision-making.
• Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are readily available.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful financial reports to aid management in decision-making processes.
• Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile discrepancies in financial reports.
• Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses to align with budgetary constraints.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–5 years of proven experience in accounting roles.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
